Overview

At the Transworld Group, we take a long-term view of our corporate social responsibility (CSR), which is derived from global standards and stakeholder engagement. Through intervention and support, we aim to build the capacity of our beneficiaries and partners to create long term impact.

Our action path is based on Schedule VII of the CSR Act and Sustainable Development Goals. We believe that a collaborative approach can create a ripple effect. Thus, we are open to partner with government institutions, businesses, academic institutions, and other organizations to join hands.

Our screening process

We first identify NGOs who run sustainable and scalable projects that align to our own CSR roadmap and key goals. Ideally, you could be an organization looking to build resilient communities at the grassroot, pan-India or global level.

Next, we adopt a three- to five-year lifecycle engagement where we help you build capacity for long term projects. A robust framework of quantitative and qualitative metrics is developed to map, measure and access progress and impact.

This includes outlining metrics in terms of clear goals and targets to help our NGOs partners comprehend the tangible and intangible changes arising out of their projects, build stronger programs and effectively communicate with primary stakeholders.

For we truly believe in co-creating a sustainable support system that goes beyond mere donations.

Meaningful difference

Additionally, we run a successful Corporate Energizers and Volunteering program, which helps the Transworld Group to be the agent of change and spread awareness about social issues among our internal stakeholders.

Our short-term engagements with NGOs partners are organized through a monthly calendar aligned with UN Days of observation.

Over the years, our employees across geographies have stepped forward time and time again to make a meaningful difference to the community. Even during the pandemic.

So, if you are an organization looking for funding and partnership from a trusted global corporate with a rock solid CSR history, then get in touch with us.

Office Intiatives

Internship Programme with Integreat Center

Our first initiative of engaging with People of Determination started through a month-long internship program with students of Integreat Center, Dubai in January 2020. This was our first step towards trying to bridge the gap between training and employability of differently abled graduates supported by our partner Integreat Center. They have been allocated various roles across departments and are being mentored by our very own volunteers.

Seven students enrolled themselves for hands on training in our Warehouse, Transworld Feeders, Human Capital Management, Customer Service and Accounts Department. As an organization we believe a response to changing needs in at the workplace is necessary. Each of these individuals have the potential to scale greater heights professionally and we support them in their journey.

Stories from Bhopoli

Neeta Rabade, 20 years old, resident of Ghaneghar village, is a classic case of growing health awareness amongst the women in the villages. Neeta, pregnant for the first time, visited ML Dhawale Memorial hospital to get pregnancy tests done. Thereafter she registered for antenatal care and followed the entire routine very meticulously. She attended every single village meeting and asked pertinent questions.

On scheduled date, she had a normal delivery in a Government Hospital, delivering a healthy baby boy weighing 3.5 kilos, almost 25% more than average weight in the region. Our community health workers trained her on proper breastfeeding techniques, schedule and child hygiene. The baby is now six months old, healthy and weighs 8 kilos.
